Gamma Ray CCL Temp

Description

GCT

The Gamma Ray/Collar Locator/Temperature Tool (GCT) can be run together with the FHT Telemetry tool providing the following signals:

  • Gamma Ray PMT (GR): measure the natural gamma ray levels within the wellbore.
  • Collar Locator (CCL): measure changes in metal mass, creating a better chance of detecting the small gap in flush joint pipe, or collars in heavily corrosion-encrusted casing.
  • Temperature Tool (RTD): The Platinum Resistance Thermometer Tool measures Downhole temperatures by measuring the resistance of a fast responding platinum resistance element. The probe is contained in a thin, pressure tight Inconel® needle, protruding into an open slot through which borehole fluid can flow.
